| Colorcell: What's the Idea? |
|
This is an experimental website about colors. Colorcell
wants to find the most popular color combinations.
You can create your own COLORCELL by choosing
up to four of your favourite colors:
|

Create your own cell!
|
Your cell is living in a virtual
livingspace with cells from other users.
There is space for 100 cells.

The livingspace.
|
Everybody can select
their favourite cells once a day.
Each day, the daily selections of each cell
get converted into fitnesspoints.
Cells that seem to be likeable will become stronger
(because they have been selected often).
Cells that didn't get selected often enough will
become weaker (apparently the color combination
isn't very popular).

There are various statistics
about each cell (just click the cell), about the livingspace
and the cemetery.

Have you voted
for your favourite cells today? If not,
please participate in the colorcell game and vote
now.
After your vote, sign up and create
your own colorcell.

| Colorcell Introduction |
|
How is Colorcell functioning?
Colorcell is a cell system.
Each cell is composed of four single colors.
The color combination of a cell makes its
character.
A cell can either be alive or dead.
If a cell is alive, it lives in the livingspace.
If a cell
is dead, it rests in peace on the cemetery.
There is space for 100 cells in the livingspace.
The fuller the livingspace, the higher the stress.
The higher the stress, the more cells will die.
Visitors of this site can choose up
to three cells per day.
Therefore, visitors vote for the color combinations
they like.
Each day around midnight, the colorcell process
takes place:
The more visitors voted for a cell, the
stonger it gets.
Some cells will get weaker, because they
got less selections.
If a cell is too weak, it will die.
Shortly before midnight, two cells cross
and give birth to a new cell.
The new child(cell) consists of two colors
from each parent(cell).
A cell can only have one childcell.
The stronger the cell, the higher the probability
to become parent.
Registered users can create their own cell.
A user can have one living cell.
A user can kill its cell if he doesn't
like it.
Users can create a new cell as soon as
their cell died.
